Please keep in mind that i am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a no reseve auction is a 2003 bmw x5 awd. I would rate the exterior of this x5 to be in average condition for it's age and mileage. It is finished in black over tan, which is a good color combination. The finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this x5, the only thing really worth mentioning is the condition of the rear bumper cover. The only other thing i can mention is that there is a small (about 3") piece of trim missing at the left b-pillar... The body panels all line up nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gates all open and close easily. The rf door does not open from the outside, which is a little annoying. I had the same thing happen to my range rover, but to the driver's door so i had to fix it. The little cable inside the door breaks. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels look good and tire tread is average all around. I would rate the interior of this x5 to be in above average condition for it's age and mileage. The tan interior looks nice against the black exterior. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats are supple, clean and show minimal wear. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. As with most older bmw's, the radio display has a few pixels out and isn't exactly easy to read, but everything works. The wood veneers show well throughout the interior. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this bmw appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3. 0l inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps good temperature and feels strong. The abs/traction lights are on. I've personally put the last 100+ miles on this x5 without a single issue. I have to admit, the straight six feels surprisingly powerful. I've only ever had the v8 x5's and i kind of expected the six cylinder to be a bit of a dog but it's not. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts prope. I will start by saying that i've owned this s55 for the last few years. It was my personal driver for a while, until i moved on to something else. I've personally put the last 5,000 miles on this s55 with absolutely no issues. I love this car as it has been very good to me. Even after i retired it from daily driver status, i've been reluctant to cut it loose. I'd rate the exterior of this merc' to be in average condition for it's age and mileage. As with any older vehicle that has been driven, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. The only noteworthy damage to disclose on this s55 is a dent on the back of the trunk lid. This was present when i bought the car. But nothing through the paint or anything that is an eye sore. All of the body trim and cladding is present and show well. There is a crack on the corner of the rear window and a small crescent shaped crack on the front window at the center. Both have been present during my entire ownership and neither have changed in any way. The brilliant silver metallic finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The 18" amg staggered alloy wheels, along with the more aggressive amg exterior styling give this full sized sedan a menacing appearance. The finish on the wheels is showing some clear coat issues, but show well overall. The tires are michelin's all around, as they should be. The fronts have good tread. The rears are on the thin side. I would also rate the interior of this s55 amg to also be in average condition for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets show some wear, but are presentable for their age. Both front seats are power operated, heated and cooled. The front plastic portion of the driver's seat is broken, as most are at this age and mileage. However, everything works. The power windows, mirrors, seats, sunroof and central locks all work properly. Both rear windows will need new regulators. The air conditioner and heater both work properly. The audio system is the original and sounds great. The trunk is spacious and clean. The one annoying thing i have to point out is a constant, light, beeping that comes from the radar detector. In fairness, the radar detector was old and could constantly go off as it was only good at detecting semi-trucks and garage door openers.
